S.T.A.R.S Fundraiser at DNA Gardens for Open Farm Days  

Located just 10 minutes east of Elnora and 20 minutes west of Big Valley, DNA Gardens has many family-friendly events for you this weekend including an orchard tour, u-pick cherries, face painting, a kids play area, scavenger hunt, a duck herding demonstration, a corn maze and yard games! There is also free wine tasting, a fully licensed bar, a menu created by their professional chef, and an educational lesson given by Arden Delidais on verimculture, which is the growing of worms as it relates to agriculture.  

This year boasts an exciting fundraiser as well: a dunk tank with all proceeds going to S.T.A.R.S. for the work they do saving lives in the rural community. For $5 for three balls, you can dunk some of Red Deer Counties most notable citizens, including the mayor of Elnora Jul Bissel, East Battalion Fire Chief and owner of Elnora Motors Glenn Craig, two Red Deer County Firefighters, and DNA chef Lynsey Armstrong.
