This the last trip for this season travelling to Big Valley and making a stop at the Country Hideaway on the return journey. There will be lots of time on route to enjoy the colours and smells of the fall countryside. Includes full course buffet roast turkey meal with all the trimmings at the Hideaway, plus complementary wine or beer with meal, live entertainment on the train in coaches and in the Lone Star Saloon, time to visit Jimmy Jock Boardwalk and All That Buzz, the Canadian Northern restored station, and the vintage automobiles, trucks and household artifacts at McAlister Motors community museum in Big Valley. Mine payroll on board increases danger of being hit by the Reynolds Raiders horse-mounted outlaw gang.

LIVE STEAM & VINTAGE CAR SPECIAL TO BIG VALLEY (Diesel)

This trip lasts five and one-half (5.5) hours, and includes a tacos in a bag or hamburger on a bun buffet style meal in Big Valley, live entertainment both in the coaches and in the Lone Star Saloon, time to visit Jimmy Jock Boardwalk and explore a fully restored 1912 Canadian Northern railway station, the blue church on the hill – St. Edmund’s, the McAlister Motors community museum, the Big Valley Hand-tool and Collectables Museum, the Big Valley Museum on rails, and the roundhouse and elevator interpretive centers.

Sunday, July 14th is also the second day of Alberta Prairie’s annual Live Steam Show Special. Please note the Reynolds Raiders have been spotted in the area.
