Music in the Park is back in Stettler for 2025 with many exciting new musicians as well as a few returns! Bring a lawn chair and join us every Wednesday at 7:00 pm at the West Stettler Park bandstand for exceptional live entertainment.
July 30 – Harry Hewson
Hailing from Delia, Alberta, and now retired in Stettler, Harry Hewson enjoys playing guitar and singing. He began playing in the 60’s and therefore pays homage to the great 60’s and 70’s era of classic rock, folk and country music. Rooted in such favourite artists as Buddy Holly, Elvis, The Eagles, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Gary Felgard, DonWilliams, Alan Jackson, George Strait, and Merle Haggard to name a few. Harry offers easy listening for every age and every crowd.

Aug 6 – Monte DeMarco
I was born in a small town in Saskatchewan and my family later moved to Alberta when I was about 12 years old. My father was a full time musician and singer. I joined the Canadian Navy at the age of seventeen and learned to play the guitar during my tour of duty. When my tour was complete, I returned to Calgary. My father and older brother had been performing together while I was gone. Watching them perform inspired me to become an entertainer as well. Over the years I played as a single, then started working with other musicians in several bands. I performed in many venues throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC. Later I moved to Bucerias, Mexico, performing as a house band. I returned to Alberta and continued to perform in various venues and private functions.

A little old folk and pop, a little new folk and pop, and some originals! Family-blended harmonies with an acoustic vibe. have selected songs from the past and the present – cover tunes and originals and pay particular homage to the songwriting of Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Randy Newman, Gillian Welch, The Indigo Girls, Fred Eaglesmith and fellow Alberta based musicians Pat Hatherly, and Mike Plume & Jenny Orenstein.

Aug 20 – Ollee Owens
Raised on the Canadian prairies, Ollee Owens grew up in a musical family where the sounds of southern rock, country and gospel could often be heard on her parent’s stereo. In her teens she discovered Delta Blues and singers like Etta James, Mavis Staples, Mahalia Jackson and Janis Joplin. Buddy and Julie Miller, Eric Clapton, The Band and Bob Dylan were also a part of her playlist during these years. These artists captured her interest with their vocal intensity, thoughtful lyrics and emotionally charged music. The lyrical themes distinctive to Ollee’s original work provides a rich and meaningful experience for the earnest listener. Her demeanor, being curiously accessible, beckons one to join in on feeling deeply as she does in the moments shared together. Ollee’s voice reflects the warmth of Mavis Staples and the intensity of Etta James in what fans have described as unexpectedly pronounced, powerful and soulful.

Kayla Williams & The Yacht Daddies bring a fresh, modern twist to yacht-pop, blending the smooth, nostalgic vibes of ’70s soft rock with contemporary pop hooks. Inspired by legends like Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, and TOTO, their sound is a fusion of funk, soul, and shimmering feminine energy, creating an irresistible, feel-good atmosphere.
Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Kayla Williams, the band delivers high-energy performances that captivate audiences and turn every show into a dance-filled celebration. Based in Calgary, Alberta, they’ve built a strong regional presence, performing hundreds of shows across Western Canada, and connecting with audiences through their dynamic stage presence and engaging community spirit.
