The Big Jack Classic is a catch and release, Northern Pike only, ice fishing derby held at Buffalo Lake, AB. With mulitple prize categories including youth and taking place over the free fishing Family Day weekend in February, it makes for some perfect family fun!  Concessions, events and a wrap up family banquet add to the uniqueness of this derby.  The inaugural event held in 2023 was a huge success with great feedback from all the participants.  Excitement is already growing and ideas to make the now annual Big Jack Classic the best family ice fishing derby even better each year!
